About TidyPhotos

TidyPhotos is a private, on-device iOS app that helps you clean up your photo and video library through a fast, swipe-based flow. All of your photos, voice memos, and progress stay on your device. TidyPhotos does not have a server, an account system, or any analytics SDK.

Frequently asked questions

Is my data uploaded to a server?

No. Everything stays on your device. The app does not transmit your photos, videos, voice memos, or progress to us or to any third party. See the full Privacy Policy.

What does each gesture do?

How do I actually delete the photos I marked?

TidyPhotos never deletes in one step. After swiping up, open the Review screen, confirm the list, then tap Delete. iOS then moves the items through its own Recently Deleted album with the standard 30-day retention policy. TidyPhotos does not control that 30-day window.

How do I subscribe?

Open the in-app paywall from the Settings tab or any locked feature. Pick Monthly, Annual, or Lifetime and complete the purchase through Apple’s standard App Store flow using your Apple ID.

How do I cancel a subscription?

Open iOS Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → TidyPhotos and tap Cancel Subscription. You keep access until the end of the current billing period. TidyPhotos cannot cancel on your behalf because billing is handled entirely by Apple.

How do I request a refund?

Refunds are handled exclusively by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, locate the TidyPhotos charge, and tap Request a Refund.

What iOS version is required?

iOS 17.0 or later. iPadOS 17.0 or later on iPad. PhotoKit, StoreKit, and the on-device Speech framework all require a recent OS.

Which languages and regions are supported?

Available in 21 high-revenue regions (US, GB, CA, AU, SG, AE, SA, QA, DE, AT, CH, FR, BE, NL, NO, SE, DK, FI, IT, ES, PT). Localized in 11 languages: English, Deutsch, Français, Nederlands, Norsk, Svenska, Dansk, Suomi, Italiano, Español, Português.

How do voice memos work?

Open any photo or video in detail view and tap the microphone icon to record. The audio is stored inside the app’s local sandbox. If you enable transcription, the on-device Speech framework converts the audio to text — nothing leaves your device.

Why does the app ask for Photos permission?

TidyPhotos needs Photos permission to read the items you want to clean up, mark them for deletion, write items to your library, and keep a local index of items you have already swiped through so you never see the same item twice. The app never uploads what it reads.

Why does the app ask for Microphone permission?

Only if you choose to record a voice memo. The permission is requested at the moment of recording, never at first launch, and can be revoked at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy → Microphone.

How do I delete my data?

Delete the app. Removing TidyPhotos from your device deletes its sandbox immediately. iOS may also clear sandbox data automatically when storage is critically low.

How do I report a bug or request a feature?

Email 376662397@qq.com with as much detail as you can: device model, iOS version, TidyPhotos version, and the steps to reproduce.

Troubleshooting

The app shows “No photos” even though I have thousands.

Open iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos and make sure TidyPhotos has at least Limited Access granted. Without permission, the app cannot see any items.

The swipe gestures feel slow or unresponsive.

Reboot the device once. If the issue persists, free up at least 2 GB of storage and update to the latest iOS point release.

My voice memo won’t transcribe.

Make sure iOS Settings → General → Keyboard → Dictation (and the Speech Recognition toggle in iOS Settings → Privacy → Speech Recognition) are enabled, and that you are connected to the internet at least once so iOS can download the language model. After that, recognition runs on-device.

My purchase doesn’t unlock the app.

Force-quit and relaunch TidyPhotos. The app re-reads the StoreKit receipt on launch. If the issue persists, open the in-app paywall and tap Restore Purchases.
